This is a rendering of the lost painting made by the late Filipino revolutionary and my ancestor Felix Resurrection Hidalgo. The image is taken from Alfredo C. Roces’ Book ‘Hidalgo and the Generation of 1892’ of the original painting which was destroyed in a fire. My concept of this piece as a large mural stems from my childhood memory of how I believed and remembered Hidalgo’s work.
